ATOM REC GREEN PHANTOMS WIN GOLD AT CHEBUCTO

Atom Rec Green Phantoms' coach Greg MacLean reports:
In an incredibly thrilling gold medal game, the Halifax Green Phantoms came away victorious by a score of 1-0 to take home the gold at the 2009 John Rhynold Memorial Tournament at Chebucto this week. Dylan MacDonald scored the winning goal with less than one second on the clock!! The game featured numerous scoring chances by both teams but game Co-MVP goalies Daniel Cleary & Ethan MacLean combined for the shutout.
After going 1-1-1 in the round robin, the Phantoms stepped up their game to win their semifinal & final games. It was a great team effort & Karl & myself are very proud of our team.
A big thank you to Chebucto Minor Hockey for putting on such a fun tournament. Thanks to all the parents for their support this week!
