Hockey Nova Scotia Announces Major Bantam League

HALIFAX, NS, March 5, 2010 - Hockey Nova Scotia has awarded eleven of the twelve franchise teams to be awarded for the Nova Scotia Major Bantam League (NSMBL) which will begin play for the 2010-2011 hockey season.

HALIFAX, NS, March 5, 2010 - Hockey Nova Scotia has awarded eleven of the twelve franchise teams to be awarded for the Nova Scotia Major Bantam League (NSMBL) which will begin play for the 2010-2011 hockey season.

“We are extremely pleased with the quality of bids that were submitted for this league. Hockey Nova Scotia is confident that the franchisees selected will be excellent organizations and members of the NSMBL,” said Laurie Carr chair of Elite Hockey.

The teams were selected after undergoing a bid process. A team franchise remains available for Fundy Region and bids are still being received. The NSMBL bid package (for remaining Fundy Region) is available on the Hockey Nova Scotia website  – www.hockeynovascotia.ca/majorbantam.php.
