Hockey NS has asked as in previous years that all registrations go through Tom Saunders so as to keep an order to the registration process.
HNS will not accept individual or incomplete forms. Once you complete the registration form, email it to Tom Saunders at Tom.Saunders@nscc.ca
and he will ensure you are registered and he will confirm the registrations. If you have any questions, contact Tom Saunders directly via the email address above or at 471-8535

To register, please contact the person shown in the schedule. If you attend a session other than the Hawks Nov. 5 session,
Please provide a photocopy of the signed last page of your Speak Out booklet to the Hawks Office, to the attention
of the Director, Risk Management so your completion can be recorded.
Criminal Record Check/Child Abuse Registry Check
Criminal Record Checks and Child Abuse Registry checks are required to be completed for all coaches and other volunteers with teams (managers, trainers, etc.). These checks are good for three years. All volunteers must have the documentation to the Hawks office by November 22 to ensure that it gets entered by Hockey NS. Volunteers who are not registered ,with this information, with Hockey NS by December 31 will be removed from the bench.
Past Volunteers: Please check your Hockey Canada elearning account to determine if your qualifications are valid. The following link will take to you a document that outlines how this can be done. If any of the items is missing or expired, see the information for new volunteers below. Be careful to check for CAR, even if you completed a criminal record check last year.

New Volunteers: Watch the website for dates of evenings at Centennial where the Criminal Record Check and Child Abuse Registry check forms can be completed. You will need your drivers license, or NS ID card, your birth certificate and your health card etc. (HRP indicated that all 3 forms of identification are required for CRC, only 2 are required for Child abuse registry, one with a photo). To speed the process, you can print the child abuse registry form (sorry no electronic CRC) and complete it and bring them with you to one of the sessions.
IMPORTANT: When you receive your response in the mail from HRP, provide the Hawks office (attention Risk management) with the Original letter you receive.

Alternatively, you can go the Police Station to complete the form. You can take the pre-printed Criminal Record Check form to the Police station where they will look at your identification. You need the pre-printed form to get the $12 association price rather than the $30.
IMPORTANT: Should your Criminal record check show a problem, review the Hockey NS document below to address the issue.
